Jingtang Port |
The Port
of Jingling, stituated on the north coast of
Bohai gulf and in the south east of Tangshan
city, is one of the important ports built
around the Bohai Gulf in the period of the
Eighth Five-Year Plan, 8 berths were planned
for the first-phase of the port. The first two
general cargo berths, No. 7 and No.8 for
vessels up to 15,000 dwt, were opened to
navigation on July 18, 1993. No.1 general cargo
berth was designed to be able to accommodate
vessels up to 35,000 dwt. Now the berth has
been operated for vessels up to 15,000 dwt were
also completed and put into operation. Berth
No.4 is a multi-purpose berth for vessels of
15,000 dwt and no.5 is a general cargo berth
for vessels of 15,000 dwt. Both berths are now
partially capable of handling cargoes. The
maritime structure of Berth No.3, which will be
coal berth for vessel of 15,000 dwt, has been
completed. The total quay line of Basin No.1 is
1565m long and the design annual throughput
capacity is 7.8 million tons. Since the port
was opened to international navigation, the
operating volume of Jingling Port has been over
redoubled, which was 445,000 tons in 1993, 1.45
million tons in 1994 and 3.06 million tons in
1995. |
