Yingkou Port |
The
port of Yingkou, situated in Liaodong Bay in
the east of Bohai Gulf, is one of the coastal
hub ports in China, composed of the old port
area in Yingkou and the new port area in
Bayuquan. With a total of 18 productive
multi-purpose berths, one coal berth for
vessels of 30,000 dwt and one oil terminal for
tankers up to 30,000 dwt in Bayuquan port area.
The throughput in 1995 was 11.35 million tons.
During the
Eighth Five-Year Plan period, 4 deepwater
berths for vessels of over 10,000 dwt were
built in Bayuquan Port Area, out of which 2
were general cargo berths (No. 7 and No.8) for
vessels of 10,000 dwt completed and put into
operation at the end of 1991 with a designed
annual throughput capacity of 700,000 tons.
One refined oil -product berth for vessels up
to 30,000 dwt was completed at the end of
August 1995 with a designed annual throughout
capacity of 2.4 million tons. At the same
time, the main works of the roll-on-roll-of
berth with a capacity of handling 190,000
vehicles per year was completed.
