MINE DE KOUROUSSA COMMUNITY is a local group of village miners based in Kourousa ,producing Au gold bars, and rough diamond, dust, nuggets, bullions, silver joined with other other neigbouring communities who meet up together to achieve a goal of maximum production has an interest of 90% in Kouroussa and the government of Guinea, 10%. The Kouroussa mine is a conventional open-pit operation situated in the Kouroussa district in the north-east of the Republic of Guinea, West Africa, about 800 kilometres from the capital city of Conakry. The nearest major town is Siguiri (some 50,000 inhabitants), located on the banks of the Niger River
