Galvanized Welded Wire Mesh especially in material of deformed steel bar is regularly used for concrete slab construction, such as roadways, in curved structures such as in domes and as bonding fabric for gunite. The cost, time and labor savings of welded wire mesh offers an advantage over traditional tied rebar. Galvanized Welded Wire Mesh can be classified into four major types: 1. Rectangular Welded Mesh with wires crossed in a form of a rectangle, and longitudinal wire as the supporting one; 2. Square opening welded steel mesh with wires crossed in a form of a square, and both longitudinal and transversal wires as supporting ones; 3. Galvanized Welded Wire Mesh for vertical wall building; 4. Special type. The reinforcement mesh-welded wire mesh can all be used in concrete reinforcing. Concrete is one of the more common materials used in the construction of commercial buildings. Its properties make concrete an excellent choice for steel structures, cladding systems and floor slabs on grade. Although concrete is an excellent building material and is extremely strong in compression, it has one limitation - concrete is weak in tension. By combining concrete with material that is strong in tension, we can create a composite that greatly reinforced. This type of steel reinforcement used in concrete is welded reinforcement mesh (WRM) or welded wire fabric (WWF). Concrete reinforcement mesh-welded wire mesh consists of pieces of wire or rebar welded together to form a grid pattern. The size of the grid pattern is typically 4-inch-by-4-inch up to 8-inch-by-8-inch. This type of reinforcement mesh (Welded Wire Mesh) is used to minimize shrinkage cracking in the surface of the concrete.
